#1005 closed Bug (invalid)

give examples of daemon, proxy, remote interaction on the man pages

Description

No examples of how to use transmission-daemon(1), transmission-proxy(1), transmission-remote(1) here on Debian, 1.21. Apparently one starts one and talks to the other or something.

Yes, there are man pages for them, but no mention of how one makes them interact. No examples, that is.

transmission-proxy is gone in 1.30.

for daemon and remote: you start the daemon, and interact with it via the remote. Is this difficult to understand? :)

IMO examples in transmission-remote and transmission-daemon aren't really necessary, so I'm going to close this ticket.

However if you feel strongly about this and want to make a patch for the svn trunk versions of these two man pages, I'd most likely accept the patch. If you do this, please attach the patch to this ticket and reopen it.
