#1132 closed Bug (duplicate)

recent-download-dir-1 doesn't support non-alphanumeric characters

Reported by: kiplantt Owned by:

Component: Transmission Version: 1.30

Description

The field "recent-download-dir-1" in settings.json goes nuts when using a folder with non-alphanumeric such as "/home/kiplantt/Vidéos".

Here is an extract of the content of my settings.json :

"recent-download-dir-1": "/home/kiplantt/Vid￿ffef￿ffbf￿ffbfffe
f￿ffef￿ffbf￿ffbfffbf￿ffef￿ffbf￿ffbfffbfffef￿f
fef\ (...)

It is still possible to launch the client but it doesn't continue downloading torrents. The client becomes slower and slower to launch.

The only solution then is to delete settings.json. It works fine after that but the problem reappears after some time.
