Quitting Transmission seems to hang

Description
When quitting Transmission there is a very long delay before the application closes completely causing time outs to occur, for example when performing a system restart. This is apparent in version 1.42 with 86 transfers present and 6 active.

The pause is because trackers have to be told that the torrents are being stopped.
