Description

In many case like desactivating rpc-authentication or removing some parameters from the file, the daemon overwrite settings.json and rewrite default settings in it.

daemon overwrites settings.json when it is called with --auth option

writing the default settings back in is intentional, so that users will be able to view the settings.json file to see what settings are available for tweaking.

I don't see how this is a problem.

OK, I don't see that settings.json was entirely rewritten in previous version of transmission. It's quite usefull to see all available parameters, it could be great to update wiki page to know what are each parameter.

I was confused with the fact that command line argument overwrite settings.json in case of auth by instance, it could be interesting to warn users that some options are in conflicts between command line and config file.
