Remove the torrent verify on incomplete torrents when transmission or router has to be retarted

When transmission verifies it takes a very long time and it's time consuming specially when it has to verify multiple files that are well over 4+GB. In my current queue I have 5 files which have not completed downloading all files are 8GB+. Is there a way verification of the file can be avoided? I know on PC version of other torrents the only time a file is verified is when say the full files have been completed but one of them is corrupted, and when the user deletes that one file and try to redownload then it verifies or or hashes the download. Also by verifying the files it my routers crashes every time not sure if it's related to that. I just upgraded to 1.51-1 hopefully that fixes my crashing issues.

Thanks for this great software I have transmission installed on my asus wl-500gp router

Transmission doesn't reverify the files if the files' modification times on the drive match the ones listed in transmission's resume file for that torrent. Are you closing Transmission cleanly before you shut down your computer?

Transmission is not installed on a computer. It's running of my Asus WL-500gp router. See this is what happens...say i'm downloading the files and for whatever reason transmission crashes at some point. Still now sure why it crashes. The only way to get transmission working is by restarting the router and then starting transmission at which point it begins to verify the files.

Now If I manually pause the files download, stop transmission and reboot the router. When I start tranmission and resume the downloads then there is no verification process.

I sympathise with your problem, but the crash is the real bug here... you're just looking at a side-effect of it.

Really I think it's a bad idea to disable these checks. It might be a good thing for some users, but the flipside is that it would allow Transmission to upload invalid data if a users' filesystem got corrupted or infected.
