#1899 closed Bug (fixed)

add a timeout condition to transmission-remote's daemon connection

Description

If transmission-daemon crashed (bug#1896) and I try to get information from it:

s1:~ # transmission-remote -l

Then transmission-remote don't return anything, and continues to wait transmission-daemon responce. I think right behaviour is to return error by timeout.

Using cron I run "transmission-remote -l" to control transmission-daemon. As a result there were many working processes "transmission-remote -l".
