#1978 closed Bug (fixed)

Rescaning for new torrents at torrent creation time

Reported by: Chay Owned by: charles
Priority: Low Milestone: 1.80
Component: GTK+ Client Version: 1.72
Severity: Minor Keywords:
Cc: chay@…

Description

Using 1.60-0ubuntu0~intrepid0~svn8178

When transmission scans for new torrents in the "new torrent directory", every now and again it will scan at the exact time when a new torrent file is being created. The result of this scan is an error message "invalid torrent XYZ".

Can the behaviour be changed to ignore invalid torrent files for a first-pass?

Thanks!

Transmission 1.72 (8714) This behaviour has returned.

Creating .torrent files directly in the "Automatically add torrents from [Dir]" location always prompts "Cannot open Corrupt Torrent xxxxxxxxx".

The remaining torrents are loaded fine (waiting for my rss grabber program to finish) and then pressing OK to the 'corrupt torrent' message.

Unchecking the option, clicking ok (to close the prefs window), then reopening and checking the option will force Transmission to rescan for torrents.

At that time, the .torrent file is loaded properly.
