Provide a pref to select the Network Interface to use

Description
Transmission automatically uses whatever network interface is available to connect to the internet. It would be great to be able to tell it which one to use, or to prefer.
For instance, I have a wifi interface and an ethernet interface. I would like it to use the wifi interface instead of the ethernet one because the wifi allows bittorrent traffic, but the ethernet does not.

Shouldn't this be handled by the OS?

I'm re-opening because I am not sure you understand the use case.
I have a computer with two network interfaces. One is connected to the Internet (my wifi connection) and the other is attached to my internal network (ethernet).
The OS will autopick the fastest network connection to use for internet traffic; in my case, the ethernet connection. This connection will not work for Transmission as it does not allow internet connections.
I need to instruct Transmission to use a specific network interface (the wifi connection) for traffic rather than the OS-provided, default connection.
As a point of reference, Azureus has an advanced feature that does this very thing.
Thank you for reconsidering this enhancement.

Sorry, but this is way out of the scope of the program. The argument could be made for any program that has networking capabilities to have this functionality.

The only reason for you to set the milestone on this ticket is if you're submitting a patch to implement it. :)
