constant crashing

Description
Upon upgrade to 1.71, transmission is crashing every few minutes.

Can you try a nightly build and post the crashlog from that?

Also, please post the output from Console.app when the crash occurs.

I tried the nightly build and it has been running since about 9 last night. It hasn't crashed again.

Feel free to reopen if it crashes again, assuming it doesn't fall into those other 2 tickets.

There hasn't been any new news in this ticket, but #2195 has the same behavior and was new in 1.71, and is fixed in trunk, which would explain why the nightlies aren't crashing.
Still, I'm not sure about this, so I'll leave itas "worksforme" for now.
sungja: please do reopen this ticket if the problem shows up again in the nightlies. The assertion message from the console log is very important for us to see...
