Description
I currently have Growl alerts on my Transmission downloads and that's great for knowing when something lengthy is finished. However, sometimes I add items that I know won't take long, and it's sometimes a bit annoying to get the alerts for these, when I know just to check back in an hour or whatever.
It'd be nice if I could suppress growl alerts for these torrents, or for a single group that I put them under.
An easy to way to disable all alerts would be neat too actually, for example if I'm watching a movie and know some torrents will be ending soon. Instead of closing Transmission I could just disable alerts.

It is an option that very few people would use, if any at all.

I agree that this is a very fringe feature, and that's a good reason to avoid it.
That fine-grained control will not be put into Transmission. Disabling all Growl alerts can be controlled through the Growl prefs.
