zerg: I appreciate your submitting this patch. By default I try to encourage anyone who's submitting good code, and your patch looks fine.
However, in this particular case I'm going to close this ticket as wontfix. When Transmission has had close-to-tray in the past, it's invariably confused some users and caused more complaints than it's worth. The "officially supported" way of closing to the tray is by clicking on the tray icon.
I hope this doesn't scare you off from filing other Qt enhancements and/or submitting patches for them or other tickets. Thanks again for reading the code and for trying to improve Transmission.

I'm non't believe, because:
- I was seemed of transmission always crash before I apply this patch :-)
- I observe many unexpirience users which close windows "to tray" or "to minimize"
- GTK version closes to tray
I hope this doesn't scare you
No, I'm developer and this is familiar to me :-)

No it doesn't. close to tray was *removed* from the GTK+ version for this reason.
How on earth can we milestone it for a release that's already out the door? :)
