#2358 closed Bug (fixed)

Web client right click menu goes "off screen"

Reported by: Longinus00 Owned by: kjg
Priority: Normal Milestone: 1.80
Component: Web Client Version: 1.74
Severity: Normal Keywords:
Cc: dan@…

Right clicking on torrents that are at the bottom, or near the bottom, of the list of torrents causes the pop up menu to be displayed mostly off screen. This makes verifying local data via the web interface impossible for those torrents. This mainly affects people with many torrents queued up or those with smaller screens (e.g. a netbook).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Transmission better.

The web client is being rewritten from the ground up in sproutcore, so minor glithes like this probably aren't going to get fixed unless a user is bothered by this and submits a patch to fix.

I'd be interested in extending or replacing the contextMenu script, but what's the status of a potential sproutcore rewrite? This is the only mention of it I've seen -- it's not listed anywhere in the forums, on the wiki, or in other tickets.

I probably shouldn't've mentioned it at all... it's still a long ways off.

Come by #transmission in irc and ask me or kjg about it. We could use another person working on it :)

dirty but works: change in jquery.contextmenu.min.js

menu.css({'left':e[cur.eventPosX],'top':e[cur.eventPosY]}); to menu.css({'left':e[cur.eventPosX],'top':e[cur.eventPosY]-(menu.height()*e[cur.eventPosY]/$(window).height())});
