Description

Transmission should utilise the enhanced File Quarantine feature in Snow Leopard, which checks files downloaded from the internet for known malware. I'm not sure if it is even possible, however it it can be done, it would certainly close or at least narrow a major attack vector for malware on Mac OS X.

Here is some info about what I think is the API: http://developer.apple.com/mac/library/releasenotes/Carbon/RN-LaunchServices/index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40001369-CH1-DontLinkElementID_2
