Produce "correct" ratio for imported torrents

This is extremely minor and probably not worth "fixing", but I'll mention it anyway just in case someone wants to =)
Basically I imported a fully downloaded torrent into Transmission by copying the data file to my complete torrents directory, and adding the file. Transmission checked the existing information, found that everything was there and accounted for, and proceeded to start seeding. However the stats register only a few kilobytes having been downloaded so the torrent's ratio has quickly jumped to a ratio of several hundred and continuing to rise rapidly!
Hardly a big deal of course, but it might be good if Transmission were to recognise that the amount of valid data exceeds the amount downloaded, and use the valid data size instead? My main concern being that I can't use the stop-seeding-at feature to show when I've uploaded a decent share.
In my case this has only actually occurred because I had to use another client (Vuze, yuck!) to download something because of a current bug in Transmission with connecting to some trackers (I believe that's being fixed though, I don't have the ticket number handy). So it's neither common nor particularly inconveniencing.
