Partial torrents' sorting order incomprehensible within view "sort by progress"

Description

If you sort your torrents "by progress", and you have partially selected torrents among them, their order within the list is not quite comprehensible.

I inquired about the current sorting algorithm details, and livings124 replied in: http://trac.transmissionbt.com/ticket/3080#comment:5

The "progress" sort option sorts by:

  1. Progress (percent of the total files downloaded, as opposed to percent of the selected files downloaded)
  2. Percent towards the seed ratio setting
  3. Ratio
  4. Name

Suggestion ad sorting key 1: I advocate for the ratio of uploaded-bytes to selected-bytes (as opposed to uploaded-bytes to totally-available-bytes).

Reasoning: I consider the non-selected content of a torrent as irrelevant, thus I consider "progress" only in relation to what I wanted and thus selected and not to what is theoretically totally available.

The remaining sorting keys 2-4 and their hierarchical order makes totally sense to me.

Ratio is amount uploaded to amount downloaded. If there is no amount downloaded, it is amount uploaded to amount have. Using selected bytes makes no sense to me.
