#317 closed Bug (fixed)

Transmission aborts when downloading

Reported by: Arcnor Owned by:
Priority: High Milestone: None Set
Component: libtransmission Version: 0.82+
Severity: Major Keywords:

Description

When downloading, and don't know exactly when, Transmission asserts an exception that reads:

transmission-gtk: inout.c:95: findFileLocation: La declaración `pieceOffset < ( ((pieceIndex)==((tor)->info.pieceCount-1)) ? (tor)->lastPieceSize : (tor)->info.pieceSize )' no se cumple.

("The declaration `pieceOffset...info.pieceSize )' doesn't met", or something like this)

... and crashes, something like ticket #250, but I don't know exactly what torrent is causing the problem (if any specifically, or all of them)

I'm using (uname -srvo): Linux 2.6.18-4-amd64 #1 SMP Fri May 4 00:37:33 UTC 2007 GNU/Linux Processor Intel Core 2 Duo 6600

Maybe it has to do with the x86_64 bits version that I'm using?

I /think/ this is fixed in 0.81. Could you please upgrade, retest, and let me know how it goes?

  • Version changed from 0.80 to 0.81-svn

Sorry, but it seems to be unfixed. Same error message :(

Could you attach the torrent that you're encountering this error with?

I'll have to locate which of them is causing the problem, maybe in a few days I'll be able to know, because I had to delete them all and start one by one, because it seems that even stopped and deleted (without restarting the program), Transmission keeps requerying trackers and doing some things that caused the error.

Did you ever find the torrent in question? I'd be quite interested in fixing this.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

I think this is the same bug that a user in the IRC channel helped track down. If so, it was fixed in r3155:
