Description

With Transmission 1.93 I have to disable "Preference=>Network=>System sleep", otherwise the systems "energy saving" preferences will not work until an OS restart, even when Transmission is NOT running.

  • Component changed from Transmission to Mac Client
  • Owner set to livings124

From the description I /think/ this is a Mac-only issue. Please reassign the component if this is in error...

Reassign? Do you mean delete/uninstall and new installation? What should I delete in the library or is it not necessary?

Replying to larkmiller:

No, I was just referring to ticket bookkeeping.

I was writing both to you and livings124, who does all the Mac coding for Transmission. I was saying that I'd changed this ticket's "Category" to reflect that it's a Mac-specific issue, but that it I was wrong about that to change it back again in the ticket.

I don't follow this. You have to disable system sleep or else "energy saving" preferences won't work? Isn't system sleep an energy saving preference? You have to turn that off or else it won't work?

Hi,

it works now, seems that the last update did something wrong. The thing was, that my MBP 2,8Ghz with 10.6.3 had always the full bright screen on when I started Transmission the first time after shut down, which means, the energy saving preferences did not work.

I deleted transmission and reinstalled it, now it works again.

Greetings from Vienna Chris
