Display progress when closing

Okay, so one thing that's a bit annoying certainly in the mac version of Transmission is that it can take a long time to close. Now obviously I'd love if that could be accelerated, but I know nothing about what it's doing so that's for someone else to worry about.

One thing I would like instead though is if Transmission could give some kind of feedback when it's closing instead of just saying "Finishing" as currently there's zero indication of how long it's going to take, or even if it's doing anything (OS X quite happily considers it to be unresponsive).

Easiest would probably to create a progress bar or a percentage just to show how far Transmission is to actually closing.

Unfortunately there's no way to know how long it'll take.

Hmm, what exactly does it do? Close down peer connections, save anything needed in the resume files, surely there's something that can be used for an indicator at least? It doesn't have to be super accurate, just as long as the bar/percentage goes up now and then whenever some step is completed then it'll at least give some feedback compared with just waiting?

It's waiting for stats to be successfully sent to trackers.

Hmm, well at the very least there must be some known amount of stat updates to be sent, could that value not be used for a really quick and dirty progress indicator so you can see that Y% of stat updates have been completed?
