Make web client daemon able to stream downloaded files over HTTP

Description

Hello, i think it would be nice to add ability of downloading or streaming (means HTTP/1.1 seeking feature) downloaded files directly through transmission web-ui daemon.

my common approach is: 1.) download torrent on my homemade NAS 2.) use mplayer to watch it directly from that machine using webserver and local network

i think this can be usefull feature of web client... just right click on file and use "save link as" to download it to my notebook or "copy link location" and then watch it using $ mplayer "link location" (or vlc)

right now i have to run apache and use the listing to find desired file manualy. at least you can add the links which will be prepended with URL of that directory. say that transmission directory is on http://local-nas/public/downloads (which i will tell in configuration files) and file is some-movie/movie.avi then you can offer me link http://local-nas/public/downloads/some-movie/movie.avi but it will be much better if you will serve the file yourself without additional software...

This is an extension of #3410, which has been declined.

That would be pretty confusing to all the people not running Apache, no?

well... you mustn't show the link if url is set to empty string in config, most important is to let user choose himself...
