Description

Perhaps the Remove files and delete icon could be the actual one but with a shredded paper behind, to make it visual distinguishable.

Hi Howl,

Where are you seeing this issue? remove-torrent uses GTK_STOCK_REMOVE, and delete-torrent uses GTK_STOCK_DELETE. Do those two stock keys use the same icon on your system?

Could you attach a screenshot of what you're referring to?

  • Summary changed from Delete and Remove files and delete icon metaphor is the same to Add file... and Add URL... icon metaphor is the same

I'm using elementary-monochrome icons so I changed to gnome default ones and yes, that two icons are different, so is not a transmission issue, but another pair are the same in all the icon-sets, the Add file... and Add URL...

The first and seconds ones are to show the Delete and Remove files and delete under elementary. The third one is the Add file... and Add URL... Perhaps the Add URL.. could be the same but with a chain or a world globe as background.

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

You should report the remove/delete issue to elementary-monochrome. :)

For Add URL.. and Add file... your idea is good but there are three reasons I'm not going to do it:

(1) we don't have a graphics artist to do icons. (2) even if we did have an artist, it would mean having one icon that looked different from all the stock icons when users change themes. (3) newer versions of GTK+ disable menu icons anyway, so not many people would see the custom icon.

Again, the idea has merit -- but overall I think the costs outweigh the benfits.

No prob, and thanks for showing the icons names, it has simplified a lot to do the bug report to elementary.
