#3639 closed Bug (fixed)

Hibernation inhibition broke in transmission-gtk 2.00

Reported by: kiddo Owned by: charles
Priority: Normal Milestone: 2.12
Component: GTK+ Client Version: 2.00
Severity: Normal Keywords: backport-2.0x

Description

For some reason, in Ubuntu 10.10, Transmission doesn't inhibit my computer from going into sleep anymore. Rhythmbox and Totem still work correctly, so I'm guessing the bug is in Transmission (or that it was fixed in recent releases, but I didn't see that in changelogs).

Hi kiddo,

Just to confirm -- you've got hibernate inhibition turned on in Edit > Prefs > Desktop, and you do have active torrents that are actually in the middle of transferring data when hibernation kicks in, right?

Yes to both :)

Fixed in trunk by r11344.

Looks like this was introduced in 2.00 when I got confused by inverted logic. I've rewritten the code fragment to be a little clearer by no longer failing to not invert the logic.

Hi, I've tested Transmission 2.13 (11501) on Ubuntu Natty, and the bug seems to be back. I have checked "Inhibit hibernation when torrents are active", but my laptop still does to sleep (suspend not hibernation though) whenever I close the lid.
