Upload limit doesn't work

Reported by: jonas Owned by: livings124

Description

I experience a problem with the upload limits in Transmission 2.12 (11412) on Mac OS X 10.5.8.

When I set an upload limit using the menu that you access from the menu at the bottom of the GUI the limit does not seem to work. The upload speed listed on the dock icon seem to be correct but not the actual upload speed since my entire bandwidth is consumed until I turn of Transmission.

If I use the "Speed limit mode" with the turtle button the upload limits do work.

Does the limit work when set from the preferences window? Does the download limit work?

As far as I can tell, using the preferences window does not make a difference.

I haven't managed to perform adequate diagnostics for the download limits.

I don't believe I had this problem in version 2.11

What's the upload limit and upload amount being displayed, what's the actual upload amount (and how are you determining this), and do any of the transfers have the button checked in inspector->options "stay within the global bandwidth limits"?

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

Rebooting the system seem to get the function working. I can in other words not be sure that Transmission is to blame. Closing the bug.
