#3858 closed Bug (invalid)

Build fails when cross compiling

Description

Using the following configure options:

./configure --prefix=/home/lucas/progs/arm-toolchain/sysroot/usr --host=arm-unknown-linux-gnueabi --enable-daemon --disable-mac --disable-cli --disable-nls --disable-gconf --disable-libcanberra --disable-libappindicator --disable-gtk --enable-static --disable-shared --disable-libnotify

I get this error:

./configure: line 17896: syntax error near unexpected token `0.35.0,no-xml' ./configure: line 17896: ` IT_PROG_INTLTOOL(0.35.0,no-xml)'

The workaround is to open the configure script and comment the offending line.

Thanks for reporting this issue to make Transmission better.

I don't think this is a transmission bug -- if configure.ac's IT_PROG_INTLTOOL macro didn't get expanded when configure was generated, it's probably because you don't have intltool and/or its dev package installed on your build system.

Regardless, it appears to be a configuration error which would be better addressed in irc or in the forums.
