#430 closed Bug (fixed)

Torrent 'recovery' after crash or version upgrade resumes at signicantly lower completion percentage.

Reported by: Lacrocivious Owned by: charles
Priority: Highest Milestone: 0.92
Component: libtransmission Version: 0.95
Severity: Blocker Keywords: completion percentage lower resume

Transmission seems to behave differently from at least some other BitTorrent? clients with respect to how much data it retains after restart from a crash, or after svn upgrade to a newer build.

Whereas BitTornado?, for example, will generally resume at the same point in the torrent from the previous session, Transmission appears to resume at a significantly lower completion percentage, say around 10% lower. This drop appears unrelated to whether a 'Verify Local Files' operation is either performed or required. At a guess, this is from discarding incomplete pieces of multiple blocks.
