#4339 closed Bug (invalid)

0 speed limit is like no limit at all in Turtle mode

Description

I am aware of #2068 where this did not seem to be a problem, but I see it in 2.31 (12441). My setup is a MyBook? box and I wanted the disks to spin down during day time. For that I tried Turtle limits to 0 in both download and upload in a daytime schedule.

The scheduling works, but setting 0 in either the normal or the turtle limits effectively puts no limits at all.

What am I doing wrong?

Setting turtle mode to 0/0 and then turning it on seems to work here -- that is, after finishing the up/down bytes that are already in the buffers, the speed drops to zero.

Which program are you using to set the turtle limits to 0? Are you using the Mac, GTK, or Qt client, or one of the remote controls?

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

I did some testing and in fact the behavior is as expect, but the transient (esp. through the web GUI) is very long. I.e. the next few refreshes the bandwidth may even go really high.

Case closed, thanks.
