#4390 closed Bug (worksforme)

Sleeping computer freezes Transmission

Reported by: exiva Owned by: livings124
Priority: High Milestone: None Set
Component: Mac Client Version: 2.33
Severity: Normal Keywords:

For a few versions now of Transmission, if I leave the client open and sleep my MacBook? Pro (3,1) transmission immediately freezes.

I have some torrents that are on an External Firewire 800 drive, and some that are stored local. Upon waking the machine, the app immedately beachballs, and the only thing I can do is force quit it which results in this problem report attached below.

The problem report is from 10.7 Lion, however this occurred on 10.6 as well.

Does the problem persist with a nightly build from <>?

If so, could you post a problem report generated from the nightly build?

This issue may have its roots in #1753. exiva, what happens when you pause your torrents before trying to sleep your computer? Allow at least 1 min per 2GB zeroing-out time for any torrents added during the current session before assuming that Transmission is irrevocably in a state of "Not Responding".
