I don't understand this request. Could you give examples of what users would do with this feature?

For example to store metadata for files that are in torrent. It already works with rTorrent but users are asked to make support for Transmission.

I don't get this either. Can you be more specific on how this would be used?

http://code.google.com/p/rutorrent/downloads/list 5 plug-ins use the storage of their data in torrent

This plugin for XBMC. It keeps a complete description of the film in hand. Discussion of this plugin http://translate.google.ru/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=ru&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fxbmc.ru%2Fforum%2Fshowthread.php%3Ft%3D871%26page%3D14

Saving data into a torrent - this is normal. It has many useful applications.

I would not ask you to do this function, if users like rTorrent.

In rTorrent / libtorrent is done.

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand you. Instead of pointing to a list of tarballs or a 1000-line python script, could you describe a couple of use cases?

  • Resolution set to wontfix
  • Status changed from new to closed

Keeping local metadata like this is way outside the app scope. There is a ticket to rename transfers - that is more than enough.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
