#4630 closed Enhancement (wontfix)

Control torrents via Finder contextual menu

Description

If a file in Finder or Explorer is linked or seeding to a file running in Transmission, right clicking that file or folder in Finder could give options related to that torrent. Users of Dropbox have a similar feature, where right clicking a file in Finder gives them a "Dropbox >" submenu.

Another add on for Finder would be a column for list view which shows if a file is active in Transmission or not. This would come in handy for removing all files in one's torrent folder which are no longer active. This column could also be detailed with up and down speeds.

This would effectively enable the Finder for controlling torrents, allowing the user to manage their torrents along with files they've downloaded in the past, so non seeding files could be moved or deleted safely.

Is there a straight-forward API for this? At first look, I'm not following why controlling downloads through the Finder would be superior, especially since you shouldn't be touching the downloading files until your remove them from Transmission.
