Description
Transmission developers should seriously be watching Tribler (Open Source)... and implement it's way of finding files & peers. It is completely independent from central servers, trackers, and DNS. Now that the US is actively with a vengeance going after central file sharing websites (BTJunkie quit because of that)... more torrent directories will be shut down - Transmission should be prepared and adjust.
Tribler's decentralized and trackerless technology has enabled it to have 100% uptime and not second of downtime.

Tribler has been around for five years and is still the only tool that implements this mechanism. Despite TF's drumbeating, I'm not convinced this is The Future.
This probably is something to keep an eye on, but IMO the jury is still out on Tribler.
Tribler doesn't even depend on torrent search engines or indexes.
