Description
After upgrading to 2.50 from the official PPA, transmission-gtk no longer displays an appindicator in Ubuntu 11.10. Searching for this bug led me to a Launchpad entry in the Ubuntu launchpad for the official package.
Transmission: v2.50
Ubuntu: 11.10 (64-bit) - stock Unity
Kernel: 3.0.0-16-generic
GNOME: 3.2.1
I am not getting any console errors. Unselecting the option to show the icon, and then reselecting does not help.

Later this weekend I'll try installing the binary & take a look.
Ahh, when will I learn the lesson of not specifying timeframes when I'm short on free time... :)
This appears to have been a packing error that's been fixed -- I'm seeing the appindicator now w/2.50 in 12.04.
I'm seeing it, but I built from source rather than using the PPA.
