#480 closed Bug (fixed)

Router dies after short period of use

Description

Using 0.93, my router dies after 15-30 minutes of Transmission use. "Death" meaning all computers connected to the network stop working loose connectivity, signal strength goes from 100% to 50%, and it has to be restarted in order to resume use. I'm using an Airport Express. I have a feeling that this might be connected to my comment left on #141:

Using r3785 I am getting similar issues. Although I am not seeing reduced speeds, I am seeing a flood of "Couldn't create socket (Too many opened files)" errors as well as random visual errors(the scroll bar like to randomly hide, inspector sometimes renders wacky, etc.) I have 155 seeding/79 paused torrents, totaling 234

There's a max of 60 peers per running torrent, which means you've told Transmission to try to get almost 10,000 socket connections running actively through your router. How many of these torrents actually have peers connected to them?

Works now, and the new builds arn't having any of those weird sound issues. Thanks
