not start without torrent(s) ?

Could you add a command-line argument (to go with --minimized) that will cause the client to not start if it has no torrent(s) to work on?

What is the use case for this?

I have my system configured to start Transmission (--minimized) on startup. This works great when I have a torrent going, but this way Transmission always loads --even when it has nothing to do. I know it's light on resources, but it would be nice if there was a way to have it only load when there was work for it to do.

I think I'm going to pass on putting this into Transmission proper, but you should be able to write a short script to connect to transmission via the RPC interface, count the number of torrents, and exit iff the count is zero.
