#5273 closed Bug (worksforme)

Setting file priorities on torrent is broken

Reported by: sergio Owned by:
Priority: Normal Milestone: None Set
Component: Web Client Version: 2.76

Description

Ever since the web client started showing folder structures, the file priority settings are somewhat broken. Whenever I want to prioritize a file, I click on the mostright button in the files row, but instead of getting select, the high priority button on the first or last entry on the file list becomes selected. This makes prioritizing files in a torrent quite impossible at current state.

I'm a bit confused. the most-right button in the files row is the high priority button. Is that what you're selecting?

I think what you're seeing is the parent folder showing that one or more of its children has a high priority selected. That's intentional behavior.

Exactly, although the same behavior occurs when using the "low priority" button.

That is not what I am seeing. What I am seeing is that when I prioritize the first child of a folder, the last child gets affected. You can use other remote clients to verify that this is not a display problem in the web client but a problem of broken functionality. Setting file priorities in the web client is simply currently broken.

Transmission daemon v2.76, Chormium Browser v24 How to reprosuce:

  • Select any mutlifile torrent with folders in Web Client and go to file inspector
  • Set high priority to first file in folder

Expected:

  • First file in folder gets priority "high"

Actual result:

  • Last file in torrent gets priority "high"

If more information is required, please specify what is needed.

I still can't replicate this in the nightlies. Does this occur for you in the version from trunk at https://build.transmissionbt.com?
