#5333 new Bug

Hibernation/suspend not inhibited in Xubuntu

Reported by: pietrek Owned by: jordan

Component: GTK+ Client Version: 2.77

Description

I'm running Xubuntu 12.10 and Transmission 2.77. I noticed that my laptop goes to sleep after a certain amount time (defined in power manager's settings), despite having "Prevent hibernation" set in preferences. What I also noticed is the following error in Transmisson's log:

"GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.gnome.SessionManager? was not provided by any .service files"

It leads me to believe that Transmission uses a hardcoded "Gnome way" of managing system's suspend/hibrnation insted of using a uniniversal method of some sort.

Could anyone take a look at that, please?

Any progress on this issue? It's really annoying when the system goes to sleep halfway through the download...
