#540 closed Enhancement (fixed)

Digital code signing

Reported by: hankish Owned by: livings124
Priority: Low Milestone: 1.52
Component: Mac Client Version: 0.96
Severity: Minor Keywords:

Description

With Transmission's source code not being digitally signed, the "Allow incoming connections?" dialog pops up every time you start Transmission (with the application firewall enabled). The code signing helps Leopard (I don't know how Linux handles the certificate) to detect malicious changes in the application.

This does NOT cost any money (as Charles mentioned in the forums), when using a "self signed certificate".
