#5575 closed Enhancement (wontfix)

Color Coded Peers in Peer List Pane (Inspector)

Reported by: collegeitdept Owned by: livings124

Component: Mac Client Version: 2.82
Severity: Normal Keywords:

I regularly post to multiple forums (the same torrent). I find it really difficult to know which peers are from which tracker in the Peer List pane of the Inspector.

I always have the peer list showing at all times, and it would be VERY helpful to have the peers in the list color coded (rather than grouping them - not currently possible either) - also the trackers would also have to color coded to match. (A legend can be at the bottom of the Inspector pane or if not the user can simply hover the cursor over a peer to see what tracker their from (also not currently possible). Currently while hovering over it, there is a 'From:' but it lists "tracker" (not at all helpful).

Thanks and happy holidays!

I'm confused - what would the different colors represent? I think this is making it confusing without too much benefit.

If a user uploads a torrent to multiple forums/torrent sites - the tracker for each site is saved in the tracker pane. However, in the Peer list, peers aren't organized by tracker site - when they should be. Either have each peer organized separately or color code them by tracker.

I think color coding peers would be a less cluttered way (or even better place a colored bullet to the left of each peer (bullet color coded) - like files in the finder have a color coded bullet when you apply a tag or label.
