Description
Many times when torrents are added, they stay idle for up to 5m before starting, even if the tracker announces 1000+ peers
While the torrent is idle, the torrent details don't show any peers. However, if I press the option on the contextual menu to ask the tracker for more peers, a lot of peers appear in the peer list and the torrent starts downloading instantly.
I've have tried daemon 2.7x on debian, 2.82 on debian and 2.82 on Arch linux, all do the same thing. I've been using transmission for over a year, and also tried many configs, and this happens all the time, but not always. Notice the torrents are very well seeded, and the trackers are "respectable" otherwise I would dismiss this issue.
Maybe asking for more peers more quickly after the torrent is added could fix this issue.
Let me know if the tracker's source code could help to solve this.
