Description
It does not happen too rarely that I got lots of windows on my desktop, and I need to get them downsized quite a lot.
However, transmission-gtk shows me entries like "Active, Downloading,Seeding" but takes away a horizontal space which could hold a smaller sentence. Same with the middle drop-down menu which has a long entry like "Openbittorrent" but it would easily hold space for three and a half times this word. Just ... it would probably never be used up anyway.
Currently it is not possible to either change these min widths (to get the window shrunk a lot more). The over-dimensioned dropdowns in the Filterbar are blocking the shrinking of the main window.
So it would be nice if the drop-down menus could be taught to use up way less space in horizontal direction.

what would be nice is to reach the min width of 1024 pixel... so it can display on an "old" screen or tv where resolution cannot be discovered.
