#5911 closed Bug (invalid)

RCP Authentication enabled, browser doesn't check

I have transmission setup on a ubuntu 14.04 server with an apache system setup to redirect traffic from to to load the web interface. I've enabled rpc authentication, whitelist and limited access to,192.168.*.*.

When I login to my transmission web interface through my local network (using the full fqdn and direct lan ip) I'm prompted for authentication.

When I login to my transmission web interface through the fqdn on an outside network, I am given direct access to the service without having authentication.

I think this has something to with the apache server redirecting stright through to the hosted service that bypasses the authentication, but I'm too inexperienced with these systems to be able to identify where the problem may be for sure
