#5928 new Bug

"Display a window when opening a torrent file" should not display a window when it and "Only when there are multiple files" are checked and there is only one file within the top level folder.

Component: Mac Client Version: 2.84

Description

The suboptions "Only when there are multiple files" and "Only when adding manually" are not working.

Transmission still displays add screen when "only when there are multiple files" even when the torrent only has one file. See picture. Additionally, torrents added from another application (Automatic) also still show this screen when the "Only when adding manually" option is checked (seems to not matter whether the "only when multiple" is checked). It seems that neither of these two suboptions works.

When I disable all three checkboxes then it stops displaying the screen for all torrent files, but I want to have it come on when there are torrents with multiple files but the suboption is not working.

"Only when there are multiple files" works correctly using 2.84+ (14494). "Only when adding manually" means 'as opposed to using a watch directory' and has nothing to do with third-party applications.

Dihard, please use the forum for support issues. Trac is for real bugs or enhancement tickets.

What about Display a window when opening a torrent file "Only when there are multiple files"? There is clearly one file but it is still displaying the add window for the torrent file being added. I don't see how that's not a 'real' bug unless I'm misreading those words.

There is a problem with a single file within a folder.

In this case, we appear to have a bit of an abortion within the code. You will get an 'add window' from which you can then select 'None' causing a non-existent folder and file to be moved to the Download location as if completed (add window says 0 selected) with no way to re-select the file for download within the 'add window' although the file does remain checked and the file should still download when added.

  • Summary changed from Display a window when opening a torrent file sub options not working to "Display a window when opening a torrent file" should not display a window when it and "Only when there are multiple files" are checked and there is only one file within the top level folder.

There is a problem with a single file within a folder.

Yes, this seems to be the issue. It seems like it is calling a torrent with a single file in a folder as "multiple files".

It shouldn't do this because a folder is not a file and the vast majority of torrents, even single file torrents, have the file wrapped in a folder and I don't see any reason this should be treated as a multiple file torrent.
