Moving data files destroys file modification timestamps

If I use Transmission's "Move Data File" feature, the target file has both the creation and modification timestamp reset to the time the move occurred. This is not consistent with what happens if I simply mv the file in the OS. At the very least the creation timestamp should be preserved so one can continue to sort by creation date when browsing files.
