#6098 closed Bug (fixed)

Download directory gets drive letter prepended in Windows client

Reported by: ender Owned by: mike.dld
Priority: Normal Milestone: 3.00
Component: Qt Client Version: 2.92
Severity: Normal Keywords:
Cc: backport-candidate-2.9x

I'm running Transmission daemon on my Linux server, and I control it with client running on my Windows workstation. I switched from Transmission-QT to the official Windows client, and noticed a problem that wasn't present previously: when I click a torrent file, Transmission's Open torrent dialog box prepends W: to the path in Destination folder (which is local to my Linux server). The same thing also happens in the Open URL dialog box (W: is for some reason the drive where both my Windows install and Program Files with Transmission reside).

If I forget to remove W: from the path, torrent download fails.

Save to Location in Preferences is set to the proper path, without the drive letter.
