Me too - I updated Xcode to 2.3 the other day, maybe that has something to do with it?

OS X 10.4.6 (PPC) here, as well.

try build it without OpenSSL, looks like there is a bug in OpenSSL code, ./configure --disable-openssl

:)

Simple fix for me, I just changed the CLI verison string. There were a couple of parenths that needed to be escaped.

printf( "Transmission %s \(%d\) - http://transmission.m0k.org/\n\n",

VERSION_STRING, VERSION_REVISION );

above fix doesn't work when build in xcode.

First, Transmission is built with a simple './configure' and 'make', don't try to build using Xcode. This is explicitly mentioned on the "Developers" page off the main site.

Second, there is nothing wrong with that 'printf' in transmissioncli.c to begin with. Do a virgin svn sync. Run 'configure' and try to build: fails. Run the configure script again, and try to build again: succeeds. There's yr problem.

Why is it that we have to configure and make twice? Should it be made to work with doing it only once?

comment:9 Changed 13 years ago by anonymous

Yes, that was the problem.
