Does this occur in nightly builds? By still in use, do you mean can't delete them in trash, still shows in the Transmission window, or something else?

my version is 1.05 (4987), but it happened also in earlier versions. I mean that trash can't delete, I suppose there's a forgotten close()...

Can you try a nightly build (http://transmission.xpjets.com/)? Is this occurring for all transfers?

nightly build, same problem, all transfers

Are the privileges set up correctly on your system? Does this only happen on a certain drive? None of the other devs are seeing this behavior.

Also, do you remove the transfer from the Transmission window before moving the data to the trash?

I click on "Remove from list" *before* trying to delete them, anyway, permissions are rwx for the user running Transmission and if I close Transmission, magically trash can delete data.

Does this happen on a single drive, or any drive?

comment:9 Changed 14 years ago by xin

any drive, normally I'm using the same drive where's osx and Transmission. I'm thinking that I'm not using the same folder for complete/incomplete data, maybe it can be useful..

comment:10 Changed 14 years ago by livings124

Does this happen if you do use the same folder for incomplete and complete from start to finish?

Also, have you tried to repair permissions using Disk Utility?

  • Summary changed from Remove from list doesn't close() file-descriptors to Remove from list doesn't close() file-descriptors when changing the location

  • Resolution set to worksforme
  • Status changed from new to closed

I just tested this on a current nightly with no problems, and haven't seen reports of this on the forum. Since I never received a reply for the above questions, I can't leave this open.

Please reopen if the issue does still exist, with more specific information.
