#738 closed Bug (fixed)

Clicking tray icon should show minimized main window

Reported by: adam_caldwell Owned by: charles
Priority: Normal Milestone: Sometime
Component: GTK+ Client Version: 1.10
Severity: Normal Keywords: tray icon focus
Cc:

Description

Currently, if you minimize transmission to the window list, and click the tray icon, the window is hidden to the tray icon. This is confusing, and different than the behaviour of other common gtk applications.

The behaviour clicking the tray icon should be (as seen in other applications like rhythmbox and pidgin):

If main window visible: Hide to tray icon

If main window hidden in tray icon: Show main window

If main window minimized to window list: Show main window

I've verified this occurs in the latest subversion (5121), as well as the released 1.05.

  • Milestone changed from None Set to 1.10
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

comment:2 Changed 14 years ago by charding

  • Keywords tray icon focus added
  • Milestone changed from 1.10 to Sometime
  • Version changed from 1.05 to 1.10

Could the 'when window is open but does not have focus' scenario also be in this list? It should gain focus if it doesn't have focus when the tray icon is clicked.
